A paragraph from Elliot Rodger’s 140 page manifesto against women 🙅🙅🙅 let’s be serious for a moment here - I’ve had predominantly male friends my whole life & the amount of misogynistic bollocks I ignored as a teen was RIDICULOUS. it’s so easy to think “these are my friends, they’re only joking” 😡 well joking or not, this contributes to the culture that we live in, a culture that violently hated women, a culture that fostered the belief in this horrible little man’s mind, that he was entitled to female attention, female respect, and the female body. He wasn’t. You aren’t. No-one is. The next time you hear or see a man joking about his entitlement to female sexuality; the next time you hear a woman being called a slut, a cocktease, a bimbo; the next time you hear anyone mention male-on-female violence, CALL THEM OUT. Do not normalise misogyny. Do not allow anyone to think they have the right to hurt a woman because she did not ‘give herself up’ sexually, as this brat implies over and over again. Let’s create a culture in which this behaviour is shamed, because we sure as fuck don’t live in one now.
